Moringa Overnight Oats

1 Serving 15 Minutes

Ingredients

1/2 cup of steel cut oats

1/2 cup of milk

1 tbsp of yogurt

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp honey

1 tsp of moringa

Toppings

2 strawberries sliced

drizzle of honey

dollop of yogurt

Directions

  1. Place oats in a 6 oz jar that can be closed with an air-tight lid.

  2. Pour in milk and yogurt and mix with a whisk until combined.

  3. Add in vanilla extract, chia seeds, honey and moringa and mix with a whisk until combined and the mixture turns a light green.

  4. Place the lid on the jar and close it tight.

  5. Place the jar into the refrigerator overnight or for a minimum of 2 hours.

  6. After the oats are ready, take them out of the refrigerator and remove the lid.

  7. Place the dollop of yogurt on the top of the oats.

  8. Slice your strawberries in thin slices and fan them out on top of the yogurt dollop.

  9. Drizzle honey on top of the strawberry slices.

  10. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Ingredients can be customized to specific diets (ex. dairy free milk and yogurt or low fat options).

  • Overnight oats will last up to 5 days in the refrigerator and 3 months in the freezer.

  • If you freeze your overnight oats, they will need 8-12 hours to thaw in the refrigerator before they are ready to eat.

  • You can use a bigger jar but it should be 6 oz minimum.
