Golden Milk

Serving: 1 Time: 7 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (you can use any milk of your choice, such as cow's milk, almond milk, coconut milk, etc.)

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground clove

  • A pinch of black pepper (freshly ground is best)

  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • A dash of vanilla extract (optional)

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it's warm but not boiling.

  2. Add the ground turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper to the milk.

  3. Whisk the ingredients together continuously while heating. This helps to evenly distribute the spices.

  4. Once the mixture is heated through and well combined, add honey or maple syrup to sweeten the golden milk. Adjust the sweetness according to your taste.

  5. You can add a dash of vanilla extract for flavor.

  6. Continue to heat the golden milk, making sure it doesn't come to a boil. Keep whisking to prevent any lumps from forming.

  7. Once the golden milk is hot and well-mixed, pour it into your favorite mug.

  8. Enjoy! Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon

Notes:
